According to Article III of the constitution, the membership of the World Autism Organisation shall consist of:
a)  Full Members:
Voluntary non-governmental organisations composed of majority of parents of people with Autism and or people with Autism, operating at national, regional, state or county level, as defined in section 2.
b) Individual Members:
Persons with Autism, parents and friends of people with Autism, or professionals with an interest in Autism. as defined in section 3.
c) Affiliated Member Organisations:
Organisations who do not meet the criteria for full membership, as defined in section 4.
d) Provisional Members: Organisations, as defined in section 5.
